Transparent agate, containing blue colored swirls, surrounds an impressive plume agate inclusion that travels through from front to back of this specimen. This rock stands on its own. No stands needed. Impressively stable out of the ground. Each side of the rock contains a small pocket, providing a glimpse inside. This is a larger piece, standing over seven inches tall and eight inches wide. Here is a fun exercise; turn off the lights and shine a regular flashlight at this specimen. A stellar amount of light travels through.
Rock Talk - Plume agate can be any color of the rainbow. Color of the plume varies depending on the material present when the rock forms. Only forms in hot springs and is made primarily of clay, minerals, and metals.
