Exposing fuzzy patches of aragonite, underneath. You will not need a stand for display. Each calcite blade glows a shade of pink when subjected to UV light operating at a 365nm wavelength.
Rock Talk - Aragonite is an essential component for shell-forming organisms such as clams, mussels, and oysters. It is formed by biological and physical processes, including precipitation from marine and freshwater environments.
