My favorite view of this specimen is standing up, looking straight on at the host rock, where the calcite vein appears like mountain tops emerging. At two inches in thickness, the vein travels nearly 360 degrees around. Depending on how the rock is oriented, you may need a stand to display. Does lay flat in numerous positions. There is noticeable depth between differing sized blades. Glows a dark, rich shade of pink when subjected to UV light operating at a 365nm wavelength. There is a picture of this reaction attached.
